“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth.
Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.”
― Abraham H. Maslow

My name is Agne Kiznyte, I was born in Lithuania at the time of communism regime and its change. I have seen how the social and historical influences impact on people’s inner lives, their values and ability to find purpose. I lived in a couple of other European countries and this experience helped me understand the universality of issues that people face and experience first hand what it means to be a part of different cultures.
Before discovering counselling I studied Economics and worked in a private business sector for a number of years. However, only the discovery of Psychosynthesis and my own inner process in therapy has helped me find more satisfying answers to my own questions about life, human psyche and meaning.
I am a qualified counsellor and an active member of Lithuanian Psychological Association (LPA). I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I currently work in my private practice where I meet a variety of different people and facilitate personal processes that I am passionate about.
My core training is in Psychosynthesis counselling, a transpersonal type of therapy that is aimed to understand your individual life experience and its effects in the here and now. To find out more about Psychosynthesis counselling press here.
“To fully relate to another, one must first relate to oneself.”

My training:
My previous and current experience as a therapist:
As a registered member of LPA and BACP I adhere to the ethical frameworks and confidential practice. I undertake regular professional development courses internationally.
My clinical work is supervised by an experienced supervisor on a monthly basis. I also regularly engage in private therapy as I do believe in the use and value of therapy and my own need to experience myself being a client.
